Supervising a route requires more than knowing a vehicle's latest position. Operations teams need to compare movement with a defined path, receive notifications when a condition begins and ends, and retain evidence of remote actions initiated for the tracker.

This Secure GPS update adds route-type zones, alert-ending notifications, sent-command history, a redesigned alert screen, and improvements to statistics, offline devices, resource protection, and Tramigo compatibility.

Route zones for supervising journeys

Secure GPS added a new zone type designed for routes. Unlike a reference concentrated around one place, a route zone represents a path that the operation wants to use as tracking context.

This function can support authorized corridors, delivery routes, travel between facilities, and frequently used journeys. When combined with compatible alerts, managers can identify conditions related to a device's movement through the configured route.

A route zone does not replace road planning or guarantee that a vehicle can travel through a segment. Its usefulness depends on the defined geometry, the accuracy and frequency of received positions, and alert configuration. Test the route with real data before using it in a critical procedure.

Notification when an alert ends

Alerts could already report the beginning of a condition. They can now also notify users when that condition ends. Teams receive two moments for the same event: when it started and when it stopped being true.

  • Confirm that a vehicle returned to the expected condition.
  • Measure the operational duration of an incident.
  • Close a case without continuously watching the map.
  • Distinguish an active alert from one that has already ended.

For example, if a rule reports a condition involving a route or sensor, the ending notification confirms that the state changed. It confirms the result of the rule in Secure GPS; it does not by itself prove that a physical action or human procedure was completed.

Redesigned alert screen

The alert configuration dialog was reorganized to present its options more clearly. Users can more easily define the condition, review notifications, and understand what will happen when an event starts or ends.

A clearer configuration reduces mistakes when creating rules and helps new users understand the relationship among devices, zones, compatible data, and notification channels. Recipients, schedules, and conditions should always be reviewed before saving.

History of commands sent to a device

Secure GPS can now display the list of commands sent to a device. The history provides traceability for instructions initiated from the platform and helps technicians avoid unnecessary repetitions or compare an action with later tracker behavior.

A sent record is not an execution confirmation. A command may fail to arrive because the device is offline, be rejected by the tracker, or be unsupported by the model. Correct interpretation requires reviewing the channel, time, text, compatibility, and any available response from the device.

Corrected date ranges in statistics

Date-period selection for statistics was corrected and refined. A consistent range is essential for calculating indicators from positions and events received within the selected interval.

Users can compare routes, activity, speed, sensors, and other available indicators with less risk of including or excluding data because of an incorrect date boundary. Time zone, reporting frequency, and history quality still influence results.

Offline markers with critical alerts

The release also corrected marker presentation when a device was offline and had critical alerts. The map can now represent both conditions more clearly so operators do not confuse missing communication with the absence of a pending event.

An offline tracker cannot provide new positions until it communicates again. If a critical alert also exists, managers should evaluate the latest available data and follow their organization's contact or inspection procedure.

Unicode compatibility for Tramigo

Compatible Tramigo devices gained support for Unicode characters. This allows text containing accents and other international characters to be interpreted more consistently when transmitted by the tracker.

The improvement supports names, messages, and data that use more than basic characters. Availability depends on the device model, version, and transmitted content.

Protection and secure access to resources

This update strengthened protection of public resources against automated requests and improved secure access to compatible external content. These changes reduce abuse and prevent necessary resources from loading through unsuitable connections without requiring customers to know the underlying infrastructure.

Protection measures may request an additional verification when unusual behavior is detected. Users should keep their browsers current and avoid sharing credentials or sensitive information through unverified forms.

If a technician sends a command to the tracker, the sent-command history shows which instruction was initiated and when. If the device goes offline with a critical alert, its marker preserves the context and the operator uses the latest available position to begin investigating.
