GPS operations do not always use one unit system or need to observe only the current position. This Secure GPS update introduces measurements in kilometers and gallons, first activation and last deactivation for sensors, trails of new map positions, and expanded information when hovering over a device. It also corrects the interpretation of communications from compatible Teltonika trackers.

Kilometers and gallons in one configuration

Secure GPS can combine metric distance with gallons for fuel volume. This setting supports countries and operations where routes are measured in kilometers but fuel purchases or readings are handled in gallons, as commonly occurs in Colombia, Panama, Peru, and Ecuador.

Previously, choosing a unit system could associate distance and volume automatically. Separating these preferences presents information in a way that more closely matches each business's documents, habits, and calculations.

The activity summary now includes the time of the first activation and last deactivation of sensors recorded during the period. Users can see not only how long a sensor remained active, but also when its first activity began and its final activity ended.

This information adds context to digital inputs that may represent ignition, door opening, machinery operation, or other states defined by the integrator. The exact interpretation depends on how each sensor is installed and configured.

Trail of new positions on the GPS map

The map now includes an option to leave a trail as new markers arrive. When enabled, Secure GPS retains a visual line representing the recent sequence of positions, allowing users to observe device movement without losing the context of previous points.

The trail is useful during live monitoring: it helps reveal direction, approach to a destination, and small trajectory changes. It does not replace trip history, which remains the appropriate tool for analyzing earlier periods in greater detail.

More information from the device list

Teltonika compatibility correction

The update corrects Teltonika protocol processing. Compatible trackers can communicate positions and attributes more reliably when using the corrected format.

Available information depends on the model, installation, and configuration. Integrators should verify the data supported by the equipment and test it after setup. Secure GPS interprets what the tracker transmits and presents recognized fields in maps, alerts, and reports.
