The Dashboard summarizes your fleet on a single page, live: how many vehicles are moving, which ones are stopped or idling, which ones stopped reporting, the critical alerts not attended, speeding, the mileage and fuel of the day, the maintenance reminders and more. Each topic is a block, and you build one or several dashboards with the blocks you need, for example one for the night shift and another for maintenance.
To open it, click the globe menu at the top right and choose Dashboard. On a phone and in the app it is in More, on the bottom bar.

Who sees it
- Accounts and sub users that see more than 10 devices on the Map. If you just added devices, the menu option can take a few minutes to appear.
- A sub user sees the devices of their profile and has their own dashboards.
- Whoever signs in with the user of a single device does not see it.
- In the demo it shows example dashboards that cannot be changed.
If someone without access opens the page, Secure GPS takes them to the Map.
Parts of the page
Title, start pin and Beta
- Start page pin , next to the title: makes Secure GPS open on the Dashboard instead of the Map. One click turns it on (the pin stands up and turns green) and another removes it. The browser and the app are chosen separately: what you pin in the browser does not change the app, and the other way around. When you hover over it, it explains what it does in each case, and when you click it confirms, for example Done: when you sign in from the browser, the Dashboard opens. The app has its own choice, with the same pin.
- Beta · Send your feedback: opens Contact Us with the Dashboard category already chosen, so you can tell us what to improve.
Toolbar
- Dashboard: choose which dashboard to see. The first one is called Main. The dashboard you choose is saved and it is the one that opens next time, in any browser or in the app.
- ☰ button (Dashboard options): create, copy, rename, go back to the default or delete dashboards.
- Group: filters the whole dashboard by a group of devices. The list shows each group with its number of devices, from the largest; you can also type the name and press Enter. Empty means Whole account, and the Whole account link removes the filter. The chosen group stays in that browser.
- Live · updated at …: the time of the last position received. If the connection is lost it says No live connection; reconnecting… and reconnects by itself.
- Arrange: enters the mode to add, move, resize and remove blocks.
Each block has its ⋯ menu with Settings, Duplicate and Remove, and the ones that show lists have a ↓/↑ button to sort from highest to lowest or the other way around. All of this is explained in Arrange the dashboards.
How the data is shown
- Live: positions arrive through the same connection as the Map and the blocks update by themselves: states, speeds, map, alerts and figures of the day. The names of the devices, the groups and the configured reminders update when you reload the page.
- Today: the figures of the day start at midnight in the time zone of your account and are calculated as in Statistics. The first time each day, some blocks show Working out the day… while Secure GPS reads the first position of the day of each device.
- Since you opened the dashboard: trips, stops, ignitions, top speed and incoming alerts are counted from when the page finished loading, with that time on view. When you reload the page they start again.
- Units: kilometers, km/h and °C, or miles, mph and °F depending on the system of your account. Fuel used is counted in tanks.
What each block shows, how it is calculated and its options are in Dashboard blocks.
See the vehicles of a block
- A click on a vehicle of a list, or on its marker in the Map block, opens at the bottom the same device window as on the Map, with its live information. Its See on the Map button opens the Map with that device centered and its window open.
- See all, or a click on a state, a bar or an area, opens at the bottom the full list with the Device column and the value of the block. It shows 50 rows and Show … more adds another 50. A click on a name opens the device window on top.
- Pin the list and the window so they do not close when you click outside, and make them taller by dragging their top edge.
Where your dashboards are saved
The dashboards, the dashboard you were viewing and the settings of each block are saved in your user: you see them the same in any browser, phone or in the app. Each sub user has their own. If you change the same dashboard in two tabs or devices at the same time, Secure GPS combines the changes and tells you The dashboards changed in another tab or device: they were combined with yours and saved.
The group filter and the height and pin of the bottom windows stay only in that browser.
Main dashboard
A user starts with the Main dashboard, with these blocks: Now; Critical alerts and Map; Alerts, Devices not reporting and Upcoming or overdue reminders; Speed, Ignition (input 1) and Devices idling; Devices moving, Devices stopped and Speeding above 100 km/h. You can change it as you like and go back to it with Back to the default.
On a phone and in the app
- On narrow screens the blocks take the full width, one below the other.
- In the app, if you leave it in the background for more than 10 minutes, the page reloads when you come back to show what happened in the meantime.
Frequently asked questions
I do not see the Dashboard option in the menu
It appears when you see more than 10 devices on the Map. If you just added devices, wait a few minutes and reload the page.
Why did the "since …" figures go back to zero?
Because they are counted from when you opened the page: when you reload it or come back they start again. The figures of the day are not lost, because they come from the data of each device.
Can Secure GPS open on the Dashboard only in the app?
Yes. Open the Dashboard from the app and click the pin; the browser keeps opening the Map until you pin it there too.
